Full-time Administrative Bookkeeping Assistant

The hours would be approximately 8.30 am to 5.30 pm but there is some flexibility.  This position supports and reports to the VP of Finance. Please provide a letter with your application outlining why you would be a good fit for the position.  If there is no letter your application will not be considered.  We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing a good job.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

Providing bookkeeping support within Quickbooks
Accounts payable processing, account reconciliations, support for GL close
Calculating and paying sales tax
Preparing 1099s and personal property tax declaration schedules
Credit card, vendor statement reconciliation and processing of expense reports
Updating inventory movement in Quickbooks
Keeping printers, copiers functioning, maintaining toner and paper supplies.
Supporting staff in various tasks including but not limited to: faxing, scanning, answering phones, checking voice-mail.
Sorting and distributing mail correspondence
Ordering and managing office supplies and inventory
Maintaining and organize common areas (i.e. empty dishwasher, check snacks and water, etc.)
Supply runs to Costco

Qualifications:

Excellent Quickbooks knowledge a must.
Strong organizational skills.
Detail oriented, quick learner and excellent follow through.
High level of general computer knowledge.
Strong practical knowledge of Excel.
Ability to multi-task and handle requests from several sources.
Self motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
The candidate must be able to handle boxes of up to 50 lbs, and be able to drive.
