2023 Summer Topicals Meeting Series
The IEEE Summer Topicals Meeting Series serves as an international forum to facilitate information exchange between various technical communities using or affected by rapidly growing areas of technology or “Hot Topics” related to the general field of Photonics. This intimate environment provides the opportunity to learn about emerging fields and to interact with research and technology leaders.
Our CEO Scott Faris will be presenting on July 19 at 9:30 am local time, “Commercial Pathways for Photonics and Quantum Systems,” where he will outline critical steps for de-risking the pivotal transition also known as the “Valley of Death” and attracting private and government capital.
TechChicago Week 2023
The Infleqtion team is looking forward to participating in TechChicago Day - the flagship event for TechChicago Week 2023 hosted by P33 and World Business Chicago.
In this workshop, we'll explore the evolution of credit card fraud detection from classical to quantum-inspired techniques.
We'll start by examining classical methods like Benford's Law, used to detect numerical irregularities, and Isolation Forest, a machine learning technique that spots anomalies in data. We'll show these results with PowerBI data visualizations.
We then transition to quantum-inspired methods. Here, we'll compare traditional Support Vector Machine (SVM), a classification tool, to Quantum Inspired SVM (QISVM), which employs quantum principles for improved efficiency and accuracy. We'll demonstrate QISVM code in action.
Finally, we'll engage in a Q&A session to address any questions about these quantum techniques in fraud detection. Our goal is to demystify quantum computing's role in revolutionizing the way we handle credit card fraud detection.
